Sasha walks through the school, young voices greet him with joy: "Hello, Hallelujah!" "Good morning, Hallelujah!" "I memorized my Bible verses, Hallelujah!"
When he was a boy growing up in Moldova, Sasha planned to become a music minister one day. But when he left home to study at the university, "I found myself among all these students that didn't know the Bible; they began asking me questions from the Bible I could not answer."
So Sasha began to attend Precept's international pastors' conferences, even though he was not a pastor. "I had so much joy studying God's Word! I went to youth conferences, and I was not a youth pastor yet. I even went to women's conferences."
Sasha followed God's calling on his life to share God's Word. He visited town after town, city after city, asking school leaders and teachers to allow him to teach Inductive Bible Study. After many "no's," Sasha finally found a school principal who agreed to let him teach the Bible to students.
Every week, Sasha traveled five hours each way to the school, teaching the Gospel of John to 19 classes with 450 students. The children learned to study God's Word and even to sing hymns of praise. They nicknamed Sasha "Hallelujah!" after the refrain of their favorite song.
Soon, he says, "the interest was so great that we started Precept Upon Precept for adults as well. After one year, we had our first baptism . . . then four more . . . then three more people were saved. Since then, God gave us the grace to baptize almost 500 people that were saved all using Precept materials!"
Today, 25 churches have been planted, 130 home Bible studies are going strong, and the first Precept Training Institute is training Precept Bible Study Leaders!
One of the most exciting outcomes of Sasha's efforts—made possible by givers and friends—is that many of those we train internationally will go into the public schools (at the request of the schools!) and teach God's precepts to the students there. Thousands of young people will be grounded through inductive study in places like Moldova and Romania. Praise the Lord!
Today, we are actively training disciple-makers in nearly 150 countries and 70 languages! And through your financial partnership, we can equip our Bible Study Leaders with the tools they need to create millions of new disciples across the globe.Donate Online Now
God is moving in Moldova! What God is doing in this region is truly remarkable. Vasile (our National Director for Moldova) and his team recently trained public school teachers from 13 localities for 10 days!
Our Precept International Trainers are teaching seminars to 200 public school teachers and are also planning to have parent/teacher seminars. Doors are opening wide for Vasile and his team to equip public school teachers to study the Bible and teach God’s Word to their students.
The opportunity to teach Precept Inductive Bible Study materials in the public schools of Moldova is truly impacting and transforming the lives of teachers, students, and families. Elena shares from her heart and writes:
“After the training I received, my marriage was saved!!! Also, my students’ attitudes changed completely regarding sexuality and the future of marriage. We’re convinced the most important thing to do is to study the Bible instead of studying the traditions and religious history because we see the effect of Bible study in our classes.”—Elena, Moldova

It is through your prayers and God's faithfullness that we are on the verge of expanding the work of Precept like never before in the history of the Ministry. God gave us a vision to reach 10 million more people by 2015. And we can now see that it was truly His vision.
Have we met our goal? Not by a long shot. But we are well on our way, and I know God will continue to be faithful as we follow His leading. Thank you, Beloved, for hearing God's call and partnering with us in this incredible opportunity.
